Air Deccan sucks

I was stuck on Mumbai airport for 5-6 hrs because of the worst services by Air Deccan. My flight to Bangalore was supposed to depart at 1130 hrs. I got a sms early morning that flight departure had been rescheduled to 1445 hrs. When I reach airport, I find that departure is further rescheduled to 1600 hrs. When I check-in, I hear an announcement that flight is delayed by fifteen minutes. Only fifteen minutes?

This is really bad and it seems Air Deccan doesn't care about passengers. My one day is completely wasted and one more leave is reduced from my leave-quota in office :(

Just a couple of weeks back, when I was coming back from Kanpur to Delhi, I was charged Rs. 70/KG of extra-luggage by Air Deccan folks. I was told by their booking-agent that extra-luggage cost is Rs. 25/KG, I confirmed this twice because I knew that I would be having extra-luggage. Thanks GOD, I had some cash with me otherwise Kanpur airport is in outskirts, miles away from any ATM. And these guys don't accept cards at check-in counter so what would have happened if I didn't have enough cash to pay? Either I would have to leave luggage and take flight or I would have to go back?

Later, when I sent a mail to Air Deccan folks, they asked me to see point number x in terms-and-conditions sections on their website.

Anyways, I would prefer not to travel by Air Deccan in future.

that's just terrible, to be honest most domestic flights in India I've taken don't seem to be very professional.

Yeah, these new airlines which offer cheaper rates. I think, JetAirways, Air Sahara etc are good...

Thats true .. But I think Air Sahara and Jet are much much much better than any other airlines. Never take a chance with anything when u are travelling in air just try and go for the best airlines

I never understood Air Deccan's idea not taking credit cards!

Posted by: sathish at December 19, 2005 07:31 AM

May be they want to save every penny...Don't want to pay service-charges charged per credit-card transactions?

AIR DECCAN FOLKS SHOULD BE SCREWED.
AT THE COIMBATORE AIRPORT I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.MY 78 YEAR OLD DAD"S AUNT WAS SUPPOSED TO TRAVELL TO MUMBAI. I WENT TO DROP HER, SHE IS ON A WHEEL CHAIR IF IT IS LONG DISTANCES.I REQUESTED FOR A WHEELCHAIR FROM THESE FILTHY AIR DECCAN ANIMALS. THEY SAID THEY WILL CHARGE ME RS.500/-FOR THE WHEELCHAIR.I FOUGHT WITH THEM BUT THEY WERE NOT READY TO LISTEN.THEY SAID "EITHER PAY THE MONEY OR MAKE YOUR OLD AUNT WALK ALL THE WAY" I HAD TO PAY THE MONEY FORCEFULLY FOR THE WHEELCHAIR

What ever others have to say I still prefer Air Deccan because its a carrier for the common man like us. We will have to compromise on something, when they are giving tickets are very low price and at the same time we cant expect luxury services from them. Cancellation and delays are common among all airlines. Its the same with Jet or Sahara or Indian Airlines. One thing we need to notice that they are hardly 2 yrs in the market and Jet and IC are there in the market for more than 40 years. Cheer up Air Deccan.

Air Deccan really sucks, i was supposed to take a flight from mumbai at 7:30 PM on sunday, i was just messaged couple of hours ago that the flight has been cancelled and there are no alternative arrangements for the passengers,

the other airlines seeing the oppturnity were charging a whopping 6K for MUM-BLR flight for the next day morning, luckily i got a ticket at JET for morning 3:00 AM flight, but till date i have travelled in deccan i was never able to reach my destination on time.

While KingFisher rocks from the time you board the plane, i took my flight from BLR-MUM and as i was moving towards kingfisher check-in counter i had a person coming in taking care of my lugguage and ensuring the checkin for me and as Mallya puts it "The Inflight experience that other airlines are gonna talk of..." you will experience the same when you travel with them...

KingFisher rocks...!!!!

This is the worst airlines i have ever travelled. I suggest their license shud be cancelled. Just at the cost of providing tkts at lower rates they have taken things for granted. delay by 3-4 hrs is normal for it. Hostility of staff is a way of life for them. i would share one of my recent experience.

I had a flight from delhi to Cal on 1st April. On 31st march evening i get a sms that the flight is cancelled. I reschedulled it to 2nd april morning.
On 2nd April I reached Delhi airport at 7am to catch the del – cal flight of 8.25 AM and I was surprised to see the utter chaos at air deccan baggage screening counter and check in counters. It took me 2hours 15 minutes to get a boarding pass after entering airport. There was noone to manage the long queues, to clear the used trolleys etc. Meanwhile there was no announcement for delay in flight as well. Air deccan staff at the counter conveniently ignored all the chaos right in front of them. I cud not see any efforts on their part to improve the situation. However they did not miss out on checking excess baggages and making vouchers for that. Finally the flight took off at 11.50 hrs. However it may be noted that not a single announcement was made wrt expected time of dep.. its simply pathetic !!!

To add to my woes, I again get an sms on 2nd evening that my flight to Hyd on 3rd is cancelled. Since I had to reach Hyd anyhow on 3rd, I was bound to take a full fare flight against my much earlier planned tkt of Rs.2100. Cancellation can still be understood to a certain extent and can be spared (though in a span of 2 days my 2 flights were cancelled) but the utter mismanagement / lack of imnformation / miscommunication cant be accepted.

Can someone let me know the id where i can send my feedback to air deccan beacuse the mails which are written to their CEO is never replied to. However in the in flight reading material u ll find all those goodie goodie mails of passengers to Capt Gopinath but they never reply to any complaint written at the same address. Hypocrats!!!

I have a terrible exp on travelling by Air Deccan. On 3rd april 06 my flight from Kolkata to Bangalore was 6hrs 15 min late. Its makes all my Day plans a flop show. This is time for Air deccan official to realize the impotance of services they provide. Currently the services provided by AD not worth for single rupees.

Posted by: sailen at April 17, 2006 05:24 PM

I've terrible exprience with Air Deccan on two occasions. My flight from BLR to Kolkata got cancelled. I've to cacel both flight tickets and train tickets and rebook my flights thru AirSahara with an extra cost of Rs 4000 per passenger.

Well the story does not end here. While comming back from Bhubaneswar, I've to take BBSR-CAL flight which arrived in time. But the connecting flight CAL-BLR again got cancelled. After running around I managed to get a fligt from Air Sahara.
In both the occasions Air Sahara saved my day.

I promised never to fly again by Air Deccan in my life time. I'll prefer Lalu's train over Air Deccan.

Airdeccan is the very worst airlines I have ever traveled in India and other countries. I suggest their license and all other business shud be cancelled and banned. They are simply cheating all types of people who educated or not educated, who are professional or not a professional etc. Just at the cost of providing tkts at lower rates they have taken things for granted. Delay by 3-4 hrs is normal for it. Hostility of staff is a way of life for them. I would share one of my recent experience.

I had a flight from Coimbatore to Bang on 12th May, 2006 at 8.40pm. On 12th evening about 5pm i get a sms that the flight rescheduled for 10.40pm. I couldn’t realize that I am going to trap, Because of their very worst service. When I about to start to go for airport I got a call from airport and they said the flight has been cancelled. I shocked and totally confused what to do next. Because there is no other flight to fly to Singapore and I had very little time to catch my flight at bangalore from coimbaote. Actually I bought a ticket from jetstarasia to fly to Singapore. I immediately called them and explained my situation and they said not possible to reschedule the my trip because I bought budget ticket and they advised me to buy a new ticket for next day trip. Due to this reason I paid 36000 for four of my family members and it put me deep sad and mental stress. The no one utter mismanagement / lack of information / miscommunication provide by the airdeccan.
Can someone let me know how to proceed to sue them in consumer court.

Kavitha,

I also thought of doing the same. But you know, they have wierd kind of Terms and Conditions, which we don't read while buying tickets.

I think, they reserve rights to change price, time or anything without any notice..That's wierd..

I am really sorry to hear what has happened to you and other folks, who commented here.

Hi,
I am not sure how seriously my grievances will be taken but still I feel my duty to let you know how much one can suffer because of "PROBLEMS"
caused my "Air Deccan".
I had got a ticket for my parents from Bangalore to Delhi (29th May , 5:50 am, R S Shukla and Asha Shukla) we were all preparing and suddenly I got a call from "Air Deccan" that they can not take them aboard because of some "emergency". (I don't know what was that still). I tried explaining that my Parents has got a connecting railway ticket at 1:30pm and there is no way that I can get this ticket in next one month. If they are not going with this flight then I dont know where will they go after reaching to Delhi.
I didnt know what to know but I decided to give one more try. It was drizzling and 2 am in the morning and came to Airport. Finally some humanity was shown by Mr Rajeev (Air Deccan Employ , Bangalore) and they were allowed.

whatever happened but I am sure that "No One in the world" want to pay so much cost just because of having a option to fly cheaply.

I am sure I can give you some reasons how should avoid all this.

Feel free to call me if you want (9845206570)

I would like to bring the following facts for your information. After a telephonic enquiry and advise with your Air Deccan personnel at Hyderabad airport,
on 17-05-06, I booked 8 tickets(PNR:DAO4955680)in fight DN-410 of 4th June 06-Hyd-Tirupati
and 1 return ticket (PNR:DAO4955875)in flight DN-409 on 5th June 06 by paying a total amount Rs.19,952=10 at your ticket selling agency -Reliance web world Kukatpally,Hyd (ph.9396534539)
By breaking all our piligramage plans and keeping us in great inconvinience and
trouble A D informed us by telephone on 03-04-06 that both the flights were cancelled
due to some technical reasons and also you assured us FULL REFUND of fare at reiance
web world counter Kukatpally,Hyderabad .Immediately I went to air deccan office at Hyderabad
airport and cancelled both the tickets.
Unfortunately to my great suprise I was denied to get the full refund by your agent
at Kukatpally. In this regard I made a couple of trips to airport office and
Kukatpally Reliance web world and received a poor response.

You know what? Air Deccan should be BANNED !!
They dont deserve to be in the business. Delay and rescheduling are usual for them, and as their aircrafts are ageing, CANCELLED is what you normally see against most of their flights.

My experiences with them have gone only from bad to worse. I hope the govt will bring in regulations to ensure compensations for what people like us suffer due to the irresponsibility and unprofessionalism of businesses like AirDeccan. Till then use AirDeccan only if you HOPE TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION IN 5 DAYS FROM THE DATE YOU BOOKED FOR.

AIR DECCAN SUCKS BIG TIME !!!

I so agree with the ppl who say that there should be some regulations that should surround the minimum "facilities" that a no-frills airline should provide..

Flying by Jet and even Indian, is always so much more comfortable..

Never travel Airdeccan, I had worse experience with Airdeccan on 25th June 2006 Sunday for Nagpur-Mumbai flight, Flight departure time was 1:40pm, I arrived airport at 11:15am, checkin happend in time, passed security check and waiting at departure holding area, pleople were standing in queue for hour when announcement was made that flight will be delayed by 1 hour, then after some time they told it will be delayed by 2 hours, after that they told it was delayed by 4 hours...everyone went back out of security and were suggested to re-checkin at later time. Now even if I fly after 4 hours there was no way I can take my connection flight from Mumbai , so I had to cancel my connection flight which was of air sahara.

I was still hoping to fly this delayed air deccan flight and rebook new connection flight... then comes another announcment that flight will be late by 8 hours (8:15pm ), staff was saying that was final ... however till 7:30 there was no announcment to checkin, and rumor was that AIRDECCAN A320 does not have enough oil in their haudralics so the haudralic pressure was low and they had to get this oil from Hyderabad when that flight arrives at 8:30pm in at nagpur...
God..Does AIR DECCAN expect passengers arriving at morning wait all day and even night before they can ever fly... Finally I had to cancel my entire trip due to ever changing statement from Air Deccan..they make sure you cannot plan alternate journey and keep waiting endlessly..
TRAIN is much reliable than AIR DECCAN.. or go with other airline but never AIR DECCAN..

Posted by: Deepak at June 28, 2006 11:35 AM

Air deccan is an unethical airline. They are outright cheats !.

My opinion stems not from anger due to a delay (which is normal), but due to the following experience where I was cheated. Judge for yourself.

I was booked on an air-deccan flight scheduled to depart at 6.10 am. I reach the airport at 5.30 am and am told that the flight is closed for boarding. I set out to argue with them as I have no check-in luggage + I always take this early morning flight and I know they do not usually start boarding until 5.45 am.
However.. I give them the benefit of doubt and after a while I leave, accepting that I am late.

For some reason I decided to call the call-centre and inform them of this incident. Guess what. I turns out that that flight was over-booked !. They stopped boarding well before time as they simply sold more seats than they can accomodate.
But the rouges are so unethical they will not tell you this. They will turn you away. If you do not haggle with them they have made a profit by cheating you.

BEWARE IF YOU FLY AIR DECCAN - THE LAW OF AVERAGES WILL CATCH UP WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT. THEY ARE UNETHICAL.

Posted by: subramanian at July 10, 2006 10:07 AM

Subramanian, what happened in your case is really bad. I am wondering, if there is any law in our country which could help people like us.

I know, that these (Air Deccan, SpiceJet etc) have put all such points in Terms and Conditions document which we don't read. I believe, Terms and Conditions by these airlines are totally biased and you can not really do anything, even if you want to.

I hope, someday it improves or we can start a campaign against Air Deccan bad services.

can it be worst than loosing your electronic items from your luggage. they misloaded my luggage in another flight, traced it after 24 hours and delivered at my residence with the seal open.. the bag was unsealed and when i checked for my belongings.. found my camera and chip card reader missing. now when i am talking to them about this .. they say please see the terms and conditions..what bullshit..any which ways why did someone break open the seal.. they put the yellow plastic locking.. why was tht not there when i receieved my luggage.

iam surely going to blow this matter up..

cant take this shitty service and the way the air deccan personeell spoke..they spoke in the most rude way one can least expect in a service industry.

Folks please give me the email id of someone senior in AIR DECCAN TO LODGE A COMPLAINT>>And to get back my property.

There is no other flight from Delhi to Dehradun and I will have to travel with this shitty airlineson Monday the 17th I am just keeping my fingers crossed after reading all the reviews ... this sucks.. does anyone know of any other airlines that would go to Dehradun???

Posted by: simpy at July 12, 2006 09:19 PM

My experience with Air Deccan is entirely negative. I guess when they say low cost airlines -- they mean that are cutting costs on training their staff abt concept of "Customer Service".
I took a morning flight from Delhi to Kolkatta and it was raining hard in Delhi. The bus they used for ferring us to plane had leaking roofs so much that everyone inside bus were wet by the time we reached plane. That also included 4 yrs old daughetr of my friends who were accompanying us to attend a weeding in Kolkatta. The poor child was shivering in cold when we boarded the plane. The ACs were all on & we requested airline staff to provide some blanket but got their standard reply -- "We can't help". Not even trace of empathy, copassion in their faces!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow by the time we reached Kolkata the child had developed fever. Our one day trip to "City of Joy" was ruined as we were nursing the poor kid.
Next day morning we were to catch early morning (5:50 am) flight to Delhi. The child was sick whole night. We reached the airport at around 5:15. Nobody from the airlines staff at the X-Ray area to tell us they were closing counter. We were apprx. 7th in queue. When our turn came X-Ray guy told us to rush. Meanwhile my husband had rushed to counter, but the "guy" responsible was not there. Finally at 5:23, he was able to locate the guy. We requested him to let us board the plane , I mean 3 minutes delay, part of reason b'coz there should have been airline staff at X-Ray counter to help passengers. But again that cold & arrogant attitude -- "I can't help". I mean even on human grounds , seeing the condition of child , they could have ignored 3 min delay. But I have really never seen such a arrogant attitude of anyone in service industry.

As a customer we should tolerate 1 hr delay (our plane previous day landed with 1 hr delay), but these airline people can't tolerate 3 min delay and that too when they can see in how much problem we were.

So I will never recommend Air Deccan to any one I care about.

Hi, me too had a terrible experience with Air Deccan. Few weeks back I booked a ticket to Cochin. I got an SMS saying that the flight was rescheduled at 17:00 where the actual departure time was 16:00. I was traveing to my University to get some important documents, fly back to Bangalore next day and travel to US next day night. Finally the flight took off at 19:00 hrs and reached cochin by 20:30. I was shocked to see that my Check in luggage was missing which had some very important documents. When talked to Air
Deccan counter at Cochin, they said It was despached to Kolkata flight by mistake and would take minimum 24 hours to reach back at Cochin. After 26 hours I recd the luggage at my hotel.

The bottom Line :

1. Had to postpone my US trip
2. had to cancel my Kingfisher back to BLR
3. Monetory loss of around 12k

Most of the people here are cribbing about the "problems" they faced while flying with Air Deccan. If you feel that Air Deccan is worth condemnation, why did you all choose to fly this airline in the first place? Wasnt is just to save money? If you feel that AD is so bad, who is stopping you from flying Jet/Sahara/Indian?

PS: I never had any problems with the airline so far (max 1 hour delay that too from Mumbai)

Posted by: Ashutosh at July 30, 2006 06:46 PM

We too heard the horror stories before booking our flight from Vizag to Hyderabad in July 2006. But to our surprise our experience with air deccan was not just good, but wonderful!

At the airport, the staff at the air deccan check in were courteous to us, even advising us to put all my valuables into one suitcase for our convenience and they waived the fee on one of our suit cases that was 1Kilo overweight. The flight it self was the cleanest flight we ever sat in - it departed on time and reached on time. The air hostesses were courteous. They offer food from 'Cafe coffee day' for a reasonable price on board. (Food is not free - they say to keep the fares low). So for about 80 Rs we had sandwiches, Brownie and a drink.

Either Air deccan has mended its ways our we Indians are unrealistically expecting 'royal treatment' as we are apt to do. I enjoyed the experience and I was excited to see how Air deccan has flights to remote places like Rajamundry in AP. From my side it is a BIG thumbs up to air deccan. And ofcourse for the customers who expect 'royal' treatment, there are always other options like Sahara, Air India and king fisher ;-).

The staff was good just like any other airlines who charge twice the fare. i would say overall Air Deccan has acheived what any other airlines could not ,it has connected various small cities to metros which no other airlines could ever accomplish. So i am happy with the airlines. You get what you pay for as far as the inflight service is concerned. Stop Cribbing guys.

I travelled twice by air deccan. One of them was full with fun and the other very horrible. The one which got delayed by 6 hrs (MUM to KOL) is now cancelled. I heard the flight was wrongly placed in the slot. Even with the bad experience, I hope some day it will be as good as the others.
Please mind that in fron of the AD Borading counters we raised slogans and forced them to arrange a flight for us, which was arranged at last. So in case of any problems try to form a group and bring it to the notice of all passengers. Persons who are connected to news and reports please bring your experiences to common mass. Pressurise! It is our birth right to have hospitality and services in our own mother land. If you adverrise that your fare is cheaper you should also post some statutory warnings as highly probable for cancellation, delay, mis-conduct etc. Thanks!

I'm amazed at the popularity of this blog. I think its a honest vitory for a airline like Air Deccan, where whatever we say it'll help them. Its giving them free publicity (good or bad). I was of the category , Deccan is Dhakkan and never take the flight out of my city , where they used to fly an ATR (scares me). Later they started a Air Bus, i'm flying out to Mumbai almost everyweek. (for anywhere between 1000 to 2500 Rs normally least with other airlines is 3000 Rs, i.e if you're lucky). Secondly has anyone thought of the new connectivity that have started, and also now it is 98.5% on time. Have you ever thought of a company growing at a pace of Air Deccan and not have teething trouble. Yes, they dont know customer service (reliance mobile does not know that too, they are no 1), yes they are rude (because of the sheer no of 1st time fliers they are handling) and yes they have obnoxious terms and conditions (they'll not be able to sell you cheap tickets). I've changed my perception, reading this blog, Air Deccan is the only true airline for India. Has anybody ever thought how regular airlines have been fleecing us for decades. And believe you me, all these issues are there in the so called regular airlines too. So stop cribing, grow up, choose what you can afford and learn to chill in life. They say if you pay peanuts you'll get monkeys. Newsflash! By the way they are adding a new Air Bus every month and soon we all will be travelling only Air Deccan because many of your cities shall not fly regular Airlines (They have managed to shut two regular airlines flight out of my city) So make peace and pray.

Hi People,

I just want to throw some light on the perception that AD is cheaper than other airlines.

If we look into the stats, we find that out of 180 seats in a plane, only 8-10 seats are at a nominal price.. and rest 170 seats are charged at the same rates..sometimes even higher than normal.

In lieu of those 10 seats, these folks are saving majorly on food, water and all other basic facilities which a passenger should get.

Second major area where these guys are earning is cancellations/reschedulings. If their flight is delayed, a person who has to reach urgently will definitely get it cancelled.

Lets take an example..
I take a ticket for 2100/-. Then , bcause of delays, I have to cancel/reschedule(lets say..1500 got refunded).. n take another ticket in their airlines.(lets say for 5000)
The total earnings of AD out of me is:
2100-1500+5000 = 5600/-

Then how can it be cheap??

Its cheap only in quality..not in fares.

Any comments?

Wow, so many negative reviews about Air Deccan.
Look folks, i am not against this airline, nor i am favouring them.... all i am trying to tell all the passengers is that if you are cribbing, and thats all u gotta have to do then why fly this airline. You have so many other airlines too... if you are flying this airline again and again and still keep cribbing...and expect the unexpected then you should consider wearing a banner on urself with the words"I am a dumbass" written on it.
Come on, lets think practical whats happening here.... i have flown airdeccan so many times, there were times i've had great experiences and and there were times i've had the latter.
On one such occasion onboard, while i took a flight from Mumbai to Nagpur , i happened to ask a cabin crew that since they had enough about the passengers, what do they think of us... to which she replied, " You know what Sir, I have come across so many passengers who always crib and say, "i am never gonna fly airdeccan again"!!! And you know what, the next time when i am operating a flight again, i see those same passengers again in my flight .... they try to hide from me by bending down while seated , but i go straight to them and give them a smile.. a wicked smile"!!!!
So you see people, i think this airline is only for those people who do not actually expect much from the airline... and most importantly dont keep cribbing.
As for me, i dont crib about this airline...and i prefer to fly this airline.. :)

Posted by: Caesar at August 25, 2006 03:43 AM

Caesar, FYI! I have stopped flying Air Deccan and hence I don't crib :)

But I have heard they are getting better but still problems (self created or due to Goverment not treating them properly).

Anyways, I hope things would be great. I just expect flights on time, twenty-thirty minutes delays are ok if we know that Air Deccan operates like that we can schedule our stuff accordingly. Which I believe, most of people travelling by Air Deccan are aware of, hence prepared for such things.

I appriciate everyone for commenting here for whatever they feel or think. I believe, it is always good, I also believe some day Air Deccan would read this, who knows they might be :)

Thanks

It was a real disgusting experience for me this time. They treat all the passengers on board as worth Rs. 500 irrespective of the fact thats not true.It was bad when i asked for some eatable and the hostess denied and after a while i saw the same thing being given to another passenger.
I just lost my self respect over there.

so much time INDIAN people have the cant see tha positve side .How much they were paying befor for that KHATARA indian airline............

Posted by: sanjay asudani at August 25, 2006 11:37 PM

I grabbed couple of tickets to fly mumbai for november for 6 bucks + taxes. I am not bothered coz i am just taking a bet flying air deccan. I have read their terms and conditions throughly and am ok with it. Air deccan is not for everyone atleast until the Ryan Air fellow out there settles the flight scheduling and issues with government apathy towards the airline. But believe me, to perfect is to change often. I am sure they are aware of their imperfections, they are changing and someday they will be a preferred airline.

Or even if they die, guys, they shook up India's airline market. They triggered our airline economy. Today investors pour money into Indian Aviation. They made us understand Indian is better. They gave us a platform to compare airlines. Revolution! Bravo! I can't compare Air deccan with Infosys, but at least both brought about a change in this lethargic land. Try to appreciate them and now mind your work for you will be too late for coffee. :) Happy flying funny birdsss!

I just wanted to say that I posted this in December 2005 and now it's August.

If we are noticing Air Deccan's services are getting, then indeed it's a good news.

I agree with all of you that there is no doubt Air Deccan has shaken Indian Aviation industry...I am sure, things would be better and there would more competition which would evantually good for all of us..

Thanks for your comments, keep posting your reviews/comments...It helps..

THE SERVICES OF AIR DECCAN ARE REALLY WORST.
THE FLIGHT KEEPS ON RESCHEDULING ITS TIME.
THE WOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRSSST SITUATION WAS THAT SEAT NUMBERS WERE NOT GIVEN.THERFORE THE PASSENGERS HAD TO RUN TO THE AEROPLANE TO GET THE SEAT AND TRY TO BE IN ONE ROW IF THEY WERE TWO OR THREE TOGETHER.

Posted by: RATNA at August 31, 2006 06:44 PM

you all guys are complaining after using the service. but in my case these customer service guys of air deccan treated me in such a way that i thank god i did not opt to use the service. i called the customer service guy to enquire about the lowest priced tickets which according to there website was 3/-. however the CS agent told me that all the Rs.3 tickets have been sold. i just asked him then why was the same not updated on your website as it still showed the tickets were available. this guy simply chose to disconnect the line from his end rather than answer my question. when i wrote a complaint, no answer.

i got a chance to fly kingfisher twice on delhi pune sector and the flight was delayed by 4 hours on 1 occasion. however i wrote to these guys and guess what i get........an apology mail from Vijay Mallaya within 48 hours. even though it must have someone in his office writing that mail and not him, atleast they had the courtesy to reply and provide an explanation.

now i will be flying from mumbai to goa and back in sep end by Indian Airlines. lets see what happens.

I cut my finger due to a pice of metal jutting out of their shuttle. On boarding I asked for a band aid..and they said that they did not have it. If I am not wrong, carrying a first Aid kit in a passenger aircraft is mandated by DGCA!! So you can decide about the overall safety of the airline for yoursef. I now fly only Jet :-)

Well I got a taste of Air Deccan filthy service recently. Was supposed to fly from Bangalore to Pune on 17th Sep 9:55am reached the airport around 9:20 since Bangalore is not my place I didn't have a printout just the pnr so had to stand to get the Printout when I went inside it was 9:25am and saw the Checkin counters closed. On enquiry the lady Mis Sunita told me that I was late and It was already 9:30am in her watch so they had closed the counter, while the airport clock was still showing 9:26/9.27 I wass denied boarding. I would have belived that my watch or the airport clock was wrong but within minutes 7 more people reported at the counter and they too where denied boarding. While they would have easily accomodated us as there were still people going through security but the Air deccan Airport incharge Mr Mohammed kept arguing that we should have been 5 minutes earlier and wasted out time and we lost our other Pune flights too getting the lousy service at there Counter for the refund. Only the tax was refunded to us. Air Deccan made a cool 10000 grand + from the 8+ of us and we also learnt later that the flight went full.

I guess this is there new model overbook, deny boarding to people by closing the counter as soon as the flight is full. 10000+ each flight an you can guess air deccan can pay some of there lousy customer service friendly staff.

I not only had to waste 12+ hrs for another flight some other went back and booked on Indigo for the next day.
While waiting at the airport 3 of the airdeccan flights to Calicut/Kolkatta went almost 1hr+ late and the airport manager was talking of that they are very punctual on there flight timings.
Well they have lost me as a customer and I won't recommend Air deccan to anyone.

I recalled another incident two weeks earlier when we were returning from Vaishno Devi flying (delhi to Pune) my friend was not feeling well after the trek and was feeling like vomiting so I had asked the attended if they carried medication on which she replied If he was flying the first time. And even though she assured she would bring it after serving the 2-3 rows remaining behind us. she never brouhgt it and was too busy with selling stuff using there Easybid auction they have started recently to make some money.

I have booked a ticket in Spice Jet on 29th August 2006 to delhi on 2nd September 2006. But due to some unavoidable reasons I have cancelled the booking on 30th August 2006. That is well in advance before the date of travel. For the cancellation they have charged Rs. 600.00 as cancellation charges. But they have not refunded the balance amount and withheld the same. Could you please tell me that is there any authority to give my copmlaint against Spice jet and get back my amount ?

Dear Sir,

I am a PhD student of University of Tartu Estonia. I bookeed my ticket from Delhi to Varanasi on 21st August through their website (They have mentioned that the delhi-varanasi flight will start in October 2006). That time when I booked my ticket the prise was 2574 INR. Yesterday during browsing their webpage I saw that they are showing a total REGULAR prise 1774 INR of the same destination http://book.spicejet.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi. As it has mentioned in their rules and regulations that the prise are dynamic and change according to:

1. Seat availability

2. Peak and lean seasons

3. Promotional schemes

4. Group bookings -beyond 20 people or more

Unfortunately, none of them has explanation of my query.

But in this case it has mentioned that the new prise is regular i.e. this is not a promotional scheme!!! When I wrote to customer care I got this reply that is completely vague. Please help me.

With best regards

Gyaneshwer

I could not understand your policy concerning ticket booking? Is it possible to get me 800INR back?

Hi all,

"Have you all flown Air Deccan Recently? Its WOW". Thats their AD in the recent Newspaper. Yes, they have changed a lot. Flights are departing ontime. Dont believe me? Try flying in Air Deccan. Its too good. Better than GoAir and Spicejet. I flew Chenai- Portblair and back. The flights were ontime. I had a chat with the Airport Manager, Just asked him why Air Deccan flights are always delayed. He said that the delays are due to the delay of the incoming aircraft which is because of Airport Congestion and Also because of ATC clearance. So my Advise to all, Fly Air Deccan..Confidently. And also Mr Abdul- Fly Air Deccan and feel the difference. Hats Off to you Air Deccan.... If you are scared that your flight might get cancellled..dont worry, they will put you in Jet Airways...

Lousy airline, abusive, foulmouthed and offensive staff. Last minute rescheduling and cancellations. This seems like Air Deccan's USP. Hope the alledged "airline" bites the dust soon. Wish them the worst and would hope no one ever has the misfortune of booking a ticket with them ever.

hi
thanks to Abdul qabiz for making platform to express woooooorst expeience with the airlines. It was a very bad experience in my life.which was my first flying experience. It was in March 2005 I promised my children and wife to take them by flight accordingly I planed a trip to Goa and Booked 4 Tickets from GOA to Hyderabad. After completing the trip in Goa we went to AirPort and listen the shocking news that the service was cancelled 2 days back only. But nobody was infromed to us.My children were stared crying in the airport only .I asked them how we have to go they simply said sorry we dont have alternate fares with us they even refused give us money back. Finally I wired my dad the situation and asked him to deposit the money in to my ATM account after receiving the money they given tickets for evening flight to Banglore. From Banglore we gone to Hyderabad by Bus.This is our first fllying exerience with Cheaaaaaaaaap air lines

I too had a bad experience with Air Deccan. While the flight from Hyd to Kolkata on 24th Sept 2006 was late by 1 hour, the connecting flight from Kolkata to Ranchi the same day was late by about 4 hours (Reached at 9.50 PM). Thank God, at least I could reach Ranchi and attend to my official work the next day.

My real problem started during my return journey on 28 Sept 2006. The Ranchi-Kolkata flight reached Kolkata 2 hours late (1.20 PM). By the time I collected by checked-in baggage and reached the Air Deccan Counter at Kolkata for the Hyderabad flight I was told the counter was closed. This is despite leaving a message with the Air Deccan Staff at Ranchi that I have to board the Hyd flight at Kolkata. Sice I reported late though due to delay of their own flight, they said neither rescheduling nor cancellation is possible and expressed helplessness. They say it is only a point to point service.

Those who are booking onward journey by Air Deccan should keep this in mind.

Finally, I rushed to Indian Airlines counter and I was lucky enough to get a seat in the next day flight. Though there was half-an-hour delay in the scheduled departure they anounced in advance that it was due to change of aircraft. Indian Airlines looked much better in service levels. The difference in fare from Kolkata to Hyderabad was only about INR 1500 despite the fact that the Air Deccan ticket was bought 10 days in advance and the Indian Airlines just one day before.

The Air Deccan staff numbering about 10 at the Air Deccan Counter at Kolkata all sporting the bright yellow T shirts with the caption printed 'Have you flown recently by Air Deccan. It's Wow' - I don't know how this has to be interpreted in th elight of bitter experience with them.

Surprisingly while my ticket from Ranchi to Kolkata by Air Deccan cost me INR 1500 a friend of mine who booked 3 days before fo rthe same flight paid INR 5000+. So Air Deccan is more opportunistic when it comes to exploitation and tend to forget that they are low cost in nature. However, taking into account delays, cancellations and uncertainity it throws up, the low cost may be a misnomer

The Air Deccan staff lacks empathy, professionalism or customer care. Naturally can not be expected when a host of them are contract employees with little or no training.

Overall, I feel Jet, Sahara and Indain are far better than Air Deccan. Air Deccan would perhaps be happy to see more 'No Shows' since it makes a good business proposition for them and ultimately may become their business model.

If Air Deccan can't bring some reasonable service levels now, it will end up cheap in the long run in all aspects.

Posted by: Sundaram at October 2, 2006 12:15 AM

Air Deccan is an irresponsible airline. I'm convinced of it as the support staff don't take any responsibility when a problem occurs. My sister has lost her checked-in bag in a flight from chennai to kolkata and each city's staff are busy blaming each other. It is quite a shame that none in the management are providing solutions nor meeting with the aggrieved customer. I'm planning to provide more information including names and numbers. I'm wondering whether there is a forum for passengers who can raise these issues against airlines in a formal manner. I really wish that the media would take the airlines to task on ensuring safe baggage transfers from city to city.

Posted by: vj at October 3, 2006 02:56 PM

I cannot beleive soo many people are complaining ! Fight delay's, cancellations are part and parcel of India !! How many times has your train got delayed? Did you stop travelling in the train? Thats a very stupid attitude to carry around. Be on time, help improve something that is trying hard to make your life easier.

People cannot seem to see the brighter side of anything ! I've had bad experiences with Air Deccan as well. Delays to cancellations. But I'm more willing to be forgiving and giving them an other chance.

And I'm sure, atleast 90% of all the people who are cribbing here....would go back and book tickets on Air Deccan again, just to save money and time.

Air Deccan is offering tickets to the common man at prices that still are unbeleiveable. 2 years ago, could you imagine travelling across the country at Rs.1000 in 2 hours??

Get real people, and learn to change your views and opinions.

Its funny how people say the guy at the Air Deccan counter was not decent. And they add saying, they screamed at him for that reason. Shows a lot of decency in them !

The infrastructure we have in place, the policies, the kind of burecracy that goes on in India should be blamed for delays and bad airport facilities, making people wait in lines for tickets and security checks. Not airlines which are trying to cater to the common man like you and me, and not just higher middle class people or rich people.
I can't believe people are so bling, and don't understand simple stuff like this.

Dear Capt Gopinath,
This is a mail which I am forced to write for you due to the inability of your ground staff to help or non-flexibility of the policy which has been formulated.

My husband was scheduled to depart from Blr tonight by the 8:35pm flight to Delhi. I am in Delhi & we were scheduled to go together tonight at 11pm to Alwar, where I have to visit my Sister who is unwell.

He was to arrive on time, but due to Prez Adbul Kalam Azad's presence, there was a complete traffic halt & he reached your airport counter at 8:11pm.
He was told by the counter that he can not check in as the boarding has been closed 6minutes ago.
There were 3other passengers also who had the similar issue & were stranded out.
I have personally experienced uncertain delays, when Flights like Jet & kingfisher have held the flight for 10mins as they wanted the passenger to be onboard & the case was genuine.
My husband was there @ 8.11pm & even if he were to walk to the aircraft, he could have been in the flight.
I am sure, his tickets had been alloted to some one else, as it was very surprising how they were so indifferent, when even they knew that the delay was due to the presence of Mr President.

There are 3 questions I have
Why the flight couldnt be delayed by 5minutes, when there was a genuine case?
If that couldnt have been done, then, Why is that they couldnt have the efficiency/ capability to liase with the next departing flight, so that this could have been resolved.
& if this also was not possible, then why they couldnt adjust his ticket for the next airdeccan flight at 6.30 am for next day morning. [They said that they will refund 900/- for the cancellation- when this is not a cancellation from the passenger]
If you appreciate/ emphathise with the situations of the passengers you fly these aircrafts for, please reply with a solution, else you have an option to ignore this mail [ it will only be a deja vu of a complaint which I registered in http://www.airdeccan.net/airdeccan/Feedback.asp 2quarters back on the discourteous response of the reservation executive on the phone while trying to book a flight- & for which till date I dont have a response].

Well, if your Media report says "Air Deccan, India’s first Low cost airline was in operation for about two years ... Customer complaints 12 (per 1000. passengers)"
that 1complaint was mine, unless its not counted as a complaint. Contrary to this Business World has said a few lines about the airlines "Air Deccan has also managed to earn itself a reputation for shoddy service, cancelled flights and rude staff."

Was trying to reach out to Bijaoy- the airport manager, who was on leave. & thus spoke to Naveed & Shekhar - your ground staff, who couldnt do a thing about this whole affair. & who also commented, that they cant "help it" very discourtesously- specially Shekhar. The whole event looked like the manager was not concerned about any inconveniences caused to the customer.
The copy of the booking is pasted as under- for your reference.

I am not a spokesperson for Air Deccan. I have been in this forum before and would like to say, though their services and policies should be spruced up and it should be more customer centric, not cost centric, I would say, Air Deccan at least keep their word. One must read their terms and condition before flying. Their Refund policy should be bit flexible (BUT HOW CAN YOU EXPECT IN SOME REMOTE PLACE LIKE AIZAWAL WHERE AIR DECCAN REVIVED THAT GOD FORSAKEN AAI AIRPORT YESTERDAY TO HAVE ENOUGH CASH TO REFUND THEIR CUSTOMERS? AIR DECCAN SHOULD WORK ON IT). In a way their refund policy is ok as far as they refund (At least they refunded my money within 5 days)

Have anyone of you booked with GoAir before, India's forthcoming nightmare? Does anyone of you know Goair never refund their customers even if it was their problem? I was triple billed when I booked online and it is over two months since I am waiting to receive a refund.

I applaud and praise Air deccan, for their website booking was though slow, never made an error. Goair simply sucked my money and they are yet to refund. Their customer service is as pathetic as you would imagine. When I called their toll-free, the female said, 'You are not the only one waiting for refunds, we have refunds pending over two months'. Hurrah!

So don't stop finding faults with Air Deccan alone, there are other high profile "Cheats" like Goair which needs to be brought out in public. No airline in India for that matter is good. Everyone is the same. I repeat, at least Air Deccan revolutionized the aviation industry that provides more job opportunities.

Customer service eleswhere in the world is not as bad as in India, BUT IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SPEAKUP. Keep posting.

hey
wait after reading all these comments i felt i need to add these comments
being frequent flier i had this experience of being delayed after reaching airport with almost all airlines.
indian airlines, Alliance air,Jet airways, Air Sahara, AIr Deccan, spicejet, and even go air, but i feel this is all how you feel and make use of the situation.
If you are travelling by 3class you get the same treatement. if you are A/C and I class customer you get that treatment. so dont crib as abdul says.
according to airlines general rules you need to be there at airport atleast 30min early. where were you then? our airports are busy with one after another aircraft landing. so you can not miss the shedule otherwise there will be huge pile up of backlogs.
so as No 2 airline Deccan fly it if you like
let us keep it going strong
so that our airfares are further rationalised.
Keep going AIR deccan
good efforts Capt Gopinath
WE are with you.

Hi All,
reading all the above posts, I am bit worried for my decision to buy airline ticket to rajahmundry from hyderabad. At first I was very happy for AD's service to Rajahmundry..
But then after looking all these posts.. I dont know.. let me wait and see..how AD is going to be... If not I am going to loose one more day in my vacation....
My personal concern.. It's utterly wrong to say, you can't expect good customer service, becos you are paying less......Either it is 1 rupee or 10,000 rupee, you have the right to be notified about the flight delay or cancellations ahead..
charging 1 rupee or 10,000 for the same ticket is part of their business strategy..and not customer's problem........ But any customer, would expect a good customer service than more good facilities compared to other high end airlines..
Anyone would not prefer to buy a spoiled apple for 1rupee, compared to good apple for 4 rs.. Anyone might be ok to buy a small apple for 1rupee...its the same case here too...you wont expect to be delayed or not informed becos of mis management, for the sake that you paid less amount...but you might expect less services like no inflight food service etc..

Also one more question.. Does Air Deccan refund the taxes, if cancelled before 2 days..

Thanks ALL

hi guys,

I had a good experience flying with AD, and flights are departing and arriving absolutely in time.

Posted by: Shweta at December 25, 2006 11:19 AM

Hi guys,

I have been travelling Air Deccan since the last two years, Delhi, Chennai, Vizag ..... more tahn a score of times and never was delayed even once, leave alone flights getting cancelled.

If educated guys like us cannot understand the logistics of travel, leave alone air travel and just shoot of statements like louzy etc. then something is definitely wrong with with us.

Just go and see the movie, Planes, trains and automobiles and then you should stop complaining.

Especially low cost fliers like AD are bound to give us more trouble than the full fare ones. Isn't it obvious. Yet I think AD is doing a great job.

Especially after it has become the no one choice for most middle income fliers, we will need to encourage such airlines and get them going with better nos and consequent better adherrence to times.

Hope you guys have seen the new consumer councils orders to pay 10000 rs for delayed / cancelled flights, where weather related delays are exempted.

Last August 15th my daughter was stranded at Mumbai for over 8 hrs and missed all her connections to San Jose.

But then it was over 40% cheaper than the closest, and permitted over 60% more luggage. Thats fine then.

So if you think you are likely to lose a day of your holiday, then pay for it and dont look for cheap flights. Are you sure that you will never be stranded after full fare pay. Just look at last weeks delayed schedules across India and will realize what.

After all one needs to be more sure of landing than just take of when you are in a plane. Right?

I remember a Sardarji business man in 1987 who was travelling ot Canada via Aeroflot (USSR), carrying his own food for the entire 36 hours flight schedule because the cost was about 15000 rs compared to the 30000 rs of the next cheapest one.

Thats the spirit guys.

Look at the brighter side not the dark side.

Leave Aizwal or some value added services offered by Air Deccan. Why do they frequently cancel flights between metros.
Let me narrate the experience I had. I am supposed to travel by Air Deccan Chennai Delhi (0555 HRS) on 29th of Dec 2006. But I came to that the same flight got cancelled on 28th. I called Air Deccan immediately. They asked me to call in the afternoon. Again I called back in the afternoon. They said that 29th flight also got cancelled. THey will try to accomodate us in 0940 flight, but subject to availability. I did not have tickets anywhere else. The place is also not reachable by bus.
My situation is such that I cannot take risk of missing the flight. I have to be in delhi on that day. Then I got a ticket in GO air and went there. My money gone and peace as well.
Now I know why Air Deccan calls them a carrier of common man. Because we wont ask them any questions. Isnt it.
Those supporting Air Deccan in this forum are only employees of Air Deccan OR their PRs working for money. This airline should be banned.

sickest flightss!!!!!! i was once lured to buy a ticket of this airlines since the ticket was really really cheap. ya true to their words they are very cheap in customer service.i was stuck in the flight for 3 hrs... the flight didn't take off... as if we were hijacked ...

i flew air deccan from goa to mumbai to catch a connecting flight back to uk,it was delayed by 5 hrs, thank god we had 8 hrs spare in mumbai or we would have been stuffed.Flew spicejet from delhi to mumbai, they were excellent and on time, booking a flight to goa from mumbai at this moment, and spicejet are cheapest(and punctual)

I have travelled mroe than 15 times in the past 3 years from the time deccan started, specially from delhi to hyd and vice versa.

There were flight delays for sure and it was acceptable. cheap tickets for sure and it was good.

The problem is comparing AD with the premium airlines. Guys who travel by train from delhi to hyderabad for 25 to 30 hours are ok with the 3 hour delay in AD and will reach home in 6 hours.

Customer service is not that bad either. We are paying cheap price and there is no concept of customer service like in premium airlines. Accept the fact!!

My company sells software to huge number of clients for example. Some companies pay for the annual maintenance and we get them Support. Someone who doesnt pay the annual maintenance does not need that and he SHOULD not expect the direct phone support etc...BUT he is getting to use the software day in and out.

The cancellation policy is bad and they have used it numerous times to cancel flights which didnt have too many passengers. That was 2 years ago i think.

Posted by: ram at January 12, 2007 03:45 AM

i dont think air deccan is that bad. in fact i have travelled twice by this air lines and both the time service was good and flights were on time...as far as flight cancelleation goes...that happens with every air-line, then why do we pin point only air deccan...doesnt jet or sahara have delays or get cancelled....if you are paying less than 3000 to travel between delhi and bangalore in deccan while jet charges you no less than 4500-5000... i think its still owrth to travel by deccan and save 2000...deccan has done wonders for common man and now anybody who travels by train can think of travelling by air....

Posted by: S vinodh kailash at January 16, 2007 04:40 PM

Service is not really good. Lot of havocs and problems.

But onething to make it clear. It is not for NRI's and especially who carry heavy luggage otherwise ur luggage cost can be more than ur ticket cost. It shud also be not considered for connection flights coz lot of delays.

It is only for people who have lot of time and can accept delay and want to see the first time travel on air.

Now a days other airlines like sahara also coming in budget rates coz of competition with Air Deccan which is a good news.

Just to all the folks who were bitching about Air Deccan, How many of you voted in last elections. This is what will happen when we educated people will not choose a good leader who has no Future planning and just signs the open sky policy without any ground infrastructure or legal laws towards consumers and blindly tries to imitate American culture.

For PONGAL festival this January, I had only 1 day leave.
I have to go to Rajahmundry in A.P.
I booked Airdeccan on 13th from Bangalore to Chennai at 8.50 Am and it should reach Chennai at 9.50 AM.
After that I have booked Airdeccan flight from Chennai at 1 PM and should reach Rajahmundry at 3 PM.

When I started on 13th, morning flight from Bangalore is delayed more than 2 hours because of weather they said and we reached Chennai at 12.30 PM.
It is announced there that Chennai flight to Rajahmundry is 1.5 hrs late and it will depart at 2.30 PM.
We thought another delay and had lunch and after 1.30 PM, after issuing Boarding passes, Airdeccan cancelled the flight saying poor visibility at VIjayawada.

They wanted to screw up our PONGAL vacation and they left alomst 15 passengers in Chennai and there is no proper response from staff which are very under

qualified and don't know how to talk to Customers.

They are not giving Hotel and they left People in Chennai without any option.

We want to question - at afternoon 2.30 PM, will there be poor visibility? Lot of other people said that Airdeccan does that frequent cancellation if enough

tickets are not booked. Staff also said that they are used to such things.

It is shame on Air Deccan to do like that and leave passengers in trouble.

We know that Air Deccan is a cheap airlines but now we know that their mentality and staff are also cheap.

Finally , to reach home, we had to hire a car , pay lot of money , travelled by road and suffered a lot.

I have decided that I will not fly by Air Deccan and will try my best to avoid Air Deccan in future.

I have always looked at their "98% on time" advertisements with suspicion. This cant be true - we all know their reputation. Some Regulatory body should check the statistics and prevent AirDeccan from fooling the public.

I once booked a return ticket to Ahmendabad. The day before the travel I was told the flight was cancelled. I cancelled my trip and when I approached them for cancellation of the return trip ticket I was not given a full refund. They charged the regular cancellation fee.

You can locate the Air Dec counter in chennai airport easily (the most chaotic one!).

Have travelled by many LCCs abroad but Air Deccan is probably the worst in the world.

Posted by: sagar at January 27, 2007 07:56 AM

Even I had the worst possible experience with air deccan in my flight from blore to Goa. Such an idiotic crew they have .. I can't tell u so pathetic. Air deccan sucks !
And also their small helicopter kind of planes....

Posted by: Rushikesh at January 29, 2007 06:49 AM

I was hoping to start a blog on WHY AIR DECCAN SUCKS.. after my ordeal yday.. but a simple google search threw up soooo maaanyy blogs !!

Here is my story.
I was travelling by Air Dhakkan 603 from Delhi to Mumbai. The ETD was 3:30 PM.. And every 30 mins the flight would be delayed by one more hour.. This went on till 9 PM.. I had been fighting witht hem that if they plan to cancel the flight, they better tell us in time.. The fat lady who was the Officer incharge told me that there is ENOUGH LOAD today ( thats how they call the passenges in Air Dhakkan), so we dont think we will cancel.. And in case, we do, we will let u know !!!!!! They offered no proper reason why the flight is delayed.. While all other flights of other companies.. ( low cost and otherwise) were leaving on time.. even AIr Dhakkan's other flights were leaving on time.. !!!!

At 9 PM there were talks of cancellation of flight by the Air Dhakkan idiots who call themselves crew.. the junta got so impatient at 9:30 PM ( flight etd was 3:30 !!) that we locked the exit doors of the airport.. and started the Air Deccan Murdabaad and Management Hai Hai naara.. There was almost a physical bash up of the crew by the angry mob.. it was a puccka gherao kinda situation..

Finally the airport security came in .. and air dhakkan relented and flew our flight.. we hd told them that they cannot take off any other flight till they allowed our flight to take off !! The whole scene was worth watching..

worth watching.. unfortuantely my camera was in the checked In luggage.. else it wud hv been a great clipping !..

But the disgrace was.. the plane captain didnt even once appologize for the extraordinary delay !!..

I pray to people.. that BOYCOTT AIR DAKKAAN.. Till Capt Gopinath, comes out with a public appology for heading a disgrace of a company that he is running.. It is not a one off incident.. It is happening daily..

I dont know what our ever so vigilant press is doing in such times !!

I was once travelling from Kolkota to Bhubaneswar by their Morning flight and it took me almost 15 min from the main entry point to the deccan counter ( if any1 has taken a flight out of kolkata they will know that to drop 1 person at least a dozen assemble and to request them to give way is like asking them to buy the plane you are traveling and gift you). I was carrying the coupon ticket and it was my last ticket on the coupon, I reached the counter exactly 3 min late and the female (so called duty manager) said i cannt board the flight, I explained to her the situation and also told her that you still havent announced boarding so you can still take me in, she said that didnt you read the ticket it says the check - in will close 30min prior to the dep time.(even if they donnt depart on time, the bull-@#$% claim of 98% on time). I asked her again to check with the Pilot as he is the final authority once the flight is boarding if he will allow me, she shouted at me in front of the staff and passengers and told me that i donnt know anything about flying or airlines either so i should just shut-up and leave. It was her lucky day as she was a female and i was in a hurry to reach bbsr so i went to the station to catch a train. But for the record I enjoy quite decent Frequent flyer status on all major airlines and genrally take close to 7-8 flights a month. That was the last day i have travelled in Air Deccan.

And those who travel I wish then All the luck and safe journey.

And this is not the only time i had a issue with the staff, once i was travelling they had torn seats and the hostess told me it has been like this for almost a week and you need to adjust.

I totally belive that they revolutionised Air travel but they are venturing to a new are which i donnt think was in their original Plan that is to make themselves case study for all current and future airlines in respect to what not to do and go the dogs.

They can take awards in the following category (ies)

have the most rude staff among All Airlines.

have the most dirtiest aircrafts amaong A.A.

have the most unfriendly customer systems among A.A.

have the most uniformed staff(i think they belive service industry is like the customers service the employees and then the aircraft also.) among A.A.

My take on their 98% on time arrivals and dep are that the flight which are cancelled or delayed by more than 6 hrs are not to be taken into ac and flights with less than 6 hrs of delay are like on time performence.(shit why donnt the other airlines follow the same system, nerds).

Well Mr.Gopinath i wish you all the best and your new C.O.O., i Hope you guys will improve the image of the airlines (hire the goons and through out all complaining passengers with a warning that if they open their mouth , u have the address and the phone nos.)

Govt should take stern actions and new routes or new aircrafts should not be allowed for airlines which cannt service the old routes/aircrafts/old passengers also.

Adios

Safe landing.

Hi ,
agreed that there are service issues in the entire service industry of this country where the customer is anything but the " King ". Yet Air Deccan seems to have taken it to far. Could someone out there tell me why does deccan follow the system of " free seating". I was shocked to see well-to-do people make a rush for seats literally pushing ageing folks. It actually resembled catching a bus from one of the state transport. so much for air travel!!!

But again the biggest problem here is " no ones listening nor is no one interested " . Its a miracle we made it so far.

Cheers !!!!!

Air Deccan-

Their next initiative is to send people in cargo compartments stacked one above the other, that way more people can travel and their service can get cheaper.I wonder why they don't allow 'Standing' like the over crowded town buses, this will fit their image better.

They don't invest in walkie talkies or any communication means and so the call center people tell you some thing while each of the other staff functions gives you totally different picture of the same thing(Like for e.g. reason for 6 hours delay for a 1 hour flight.)

The attendants at the airport are trained to hide behind the excuse of being a low budget airway,in other words they are saying, don't expect to reach your destination on time, don't expect to be treated with courtsey because you are paying less, how far would these people be from saying don't expect to land safely as well.

This is the most obnoxious air ways I have ever flown, same situations handled by Kingfisher(showing so much personal care for customers and accepting the responsibility of getting them to their destination no matter what) just makes Deccan look even worse.

Pls don't travel by this airways....

Posted by: Vijay at January 30, 2007 05:42 PM

Before generalising from a one off experience, one should do a cost benefit analysis...how can one even compare Kingfisher and Air Deccan...the former is a full service airline and the latter is a low cost one.
Besides, the fact that Air Deccan is the 2nd largest airline in the country is not without a reason.
I'd booked a ticket for Pune to Delhi with the airline. The flight had got cancelled. But they let me know well in advance that the flight will be cancelled, and booked me a ticket for the next flight, without any extra cost. There was no inconvenience, and had it not been for a low cost airline like Deccan i would've had to go by train!
Infact the airline is meant for students like me and people who cant afford to the normal full service airline.
Moreover we shouldnt forget that but for the price war triggered by Air Deccan's low cost concept, the fare of other airlines wouldn't have come down the way they have.

Posted by: Samrin at February 6, 2007 06:49 PM

I once made a mistake of planning to travel by air deccan and purchased a ticket in december through my credit card .the ticket had to be cancelled immediately due to change in travel plan i was informed that money will be rolled back to my account which didn't happen and i lodged a complaint and i was given a complaint no. 29512 i have been talking to air deccan for last two months on telephone which must have costed me more than 1000 rupees . But money has not been rolled back as promised .i have been told to contact mr eshwar through email .i have mailed him twice without response .now i am proposing to file case against this irresponsible airlines in the consumer court . i believe to get justice from them and air deccan thought of being irresponsible airlines .i would never travel by this airlines ever and advice people to careful about this airline who are irresponsive

Posted by: R.A.Quadri at February 10, 2007 11:01 PM

I agree absolutely with "Vijay at January 30, 2007 05:42 PM" post. Had it not been for this low budget carrier to lower costs and make others run for their buck. We would be paying exorbitant prices to other airlines.
For me to travel from Mumbai to Vizag by train takes around 38 hours train travel time and then add another 3 hours to reach stations etc provided the train is on schedule. This train travel I have been doing since I was born which is 32 years ago. I DO NOT MIND THE DELAY UP TO 9 HOURS by AIR DECCAN, AS THAT STILL SAVES ME 29 HOURS OF TRAVEL TIME. FOR THE SAME PRICE AS RAILWAYS, I AM ACTUALLY GETTING A LOT MORE. I always hated Indian Railways and the time it took for me to reach my destination. Iam so glad that finally I have a second option at a cheaper price. I would give another 3-4 years before these guys get their act together. Most of their delays are due to smaller airports they are flying, where there is not enough ground infrastructure. So I feel AIR DECCAN is actually doing a service which sould have been done by Govt in the first place, But our politicians are busy sucking up to Americans which is their full time Job.
Long Live the AMERICAN SUCKERS of INDIA.--------

Disclaimer: I DO NOT work for Air Deccan nor have any intrests in the company. Iam an Indian Citizen working in Mumbai.

Even if half these comments are taken to be true, for their painful experiences, one can then out of sheer exasperation say that they have spoiled the fair name of DECCAN ! Saw a terrible thing today in Mumbai to Bangalore flight. There was a kid in the flight (prob 2/3 yrs old) who was crying (most prob due to ears popping) One of the stewardess Uma, want to the mother and asked her if there is any problem. She did that 2/3 times. After the third time, mother had an altercation with uma (air-hostess) mainly because she was also aggrevated by the kid and also becuase uma kept asking her 2/3 times. The kid still kept crying. Mother was doing her best to make him stop. After some time The Pilot Mr. Gupta comes out (I guess uma must have sneaked into the cockpit and informed him) and walks straight to the mother and tells her to shut the kid up or they will land on the nearest airport and let them go.

Luckily the kid stopped crying after sometime.

Worst possible thing I have seen. I will never forget this idiot driver called gupta and this stupid stewardess uma. And ofcourse no air-deccan for me from now on. Its totally worth spending the extra 2K/3K and get into Jet/Sahara etc. then save it and loose your respect in Air-Deccan. If Air-deccan does not takes care of idiots like uma and gupta, they will go down the drain faster than they are going up as of now

For other Air-lines, please do not hire idiots like gupta and uma. Please keep your airline clean. Good people will always come to you. Also please try to cover more cities.

Indians are the ones who can be easily fooled. jet airways was fooling each one of us when they were charging exhorbitantly high price. Still there are some fools who argue for them. I know these will be the same people who will argue for 1 Re reduction with their subji wallsa. Air deccan revolutionized the way inidan's fly. Whatever such foolish people say, they are going to stay and are going to bring the skies down to the earth.

Recently I flew Air Deccan three times and Kingfisher once between 24th and 26th of Feb 2007

On two of these occassions - at Chennai and Bangalore - the Air Deccan plane was lined up on the departure runway at the published departure time. Well done!

On the third occasion the Air Deccan departure from Mumbai was delayed by 15-20 minutes. But we arrived in Chennai before the published time. The Air Deccan was piloted by an American, who on landing at Chennai came out of his cabin and stood to shake hands and wish everyone with a smile as we trooped out of the aircraft. The seats were not clean, the flight attendants were functional. Again, since we knew that food wouldn't be served, we had purchased some nice batata wadas at Mumbai airport and had them on board the plane.

The Kingfisher flight on the other hand had not yet arrived at our airport from it's previous leg and we had to wait at the departure terminal for more than 45 minutes. The plane then landed, the passengers had to be cleared and then we could board in. The food served was very good and part of the ticket price. The seats were cramped. Both leg space and shoulder space was less and I had to beware of the gent in front who pushed his back rest and kept bumping my shoulder against the person on my right. It was an Airbus A320 and it felt more cramped sitting in this than the Airbus run by Air Deccan. The audio on the public address system on the Kingfisher aircraft was crisp and very clear.

The ground staff of both airlines were functional. Though the Kingfisher staff were obviously trained to address you by your last name and look you in the eye.

Yes. I wish Air Deccan had seat numbers pre-assigned. Causes problems if many are travelling and want to sit together. I was travelling with my aged mom and had to scramble in - but had no difficulty in finding adjacent seats.

Air Deccan connects smaller cities, is less expensive and if you carry your own food, much less likely to irritate you. I think people go hungry on Air Deccan and that lowers their patience.

BTW I can afford to travel on higher cost airlines, but I realize that Air Deccan is a true entrepreneur run company and this needs to be encouraged. The other airlines are usually a part of a larger conglomerate, where the airline is typically a part of the conglomerate's marketing budget and they don't worry about profitability.

Anyway the choice is ours to make. Overall, both types of airlines have a rightful place in the larger scheme of things.

I am a customer Pawan Kumar Mishra,I booked a ticket from bangalore to delhi for 28th april 2007 on 26th february in Airdeccan. Since website of airdecan was not working properly ( even not working today ) so I booked ticket through customer care of airdeccan. They told me your ticket has been booked and given me a PNR no DA09605147 and also told that you will be send a mail for ticket but still I did not get any mail for ticket.I went to airport with this no and asked for ticket they told it is invalid and go to our corporate office and bring new PNR no.I went there and meet Mr. Mahes Yadav , he told me give me your details and I will send you ticket but they did not send me yet. My credit card department ie HSBC is telling that we have record that your money has been debited by airdeccan. Hi guys,

Air Deccan has provided me better service than any other commercial airline. Their flights do get delayed sometimes, but they let you know about it well in advance via SMS. The flight delays have come down significantly over the last six months or so.

They are a true pioneer of aviation in India. It is the government that is responsibel for not upgrading airport infrastructure, or for all the well known apathy that the government has.

The Air Deccan service is truly professional, right from the call centers to in flight service. The attendents are as professional as any other airline ( Spicejet sucks though , thats another story). Imagine, these Air deccan attendents maintain professionalism in spite of being in contact with some passengers, who have no idea how a low cost airline works

I wish Air Deccan the best of luck

PS - I do not hold air deccan stock, neither am an employee

Sector travelled frequently - bangalore-Goa and back

I had booked four flights on air deccan
Flight no.1 was cancelled 1 month before departure and i was refunded the money promptly.
Flight no.2 was cancelled 20 hours before the scheduled departure and i am yet to get the money back, even after following them non-stop for 13 days. I have been told to wait till April.
Flight no.3 was delayed by (only) 2 hours, the best so far.

Flight no.4 has the most interesting story to tell. Air Deccan has gone some kind of system migration so the tickets which have old PNR number are not being recognized by the system. My flight from kolkata was originally scheduled at 3:30 afternoon, it was later re-scheduled to 7:30 evening flight as the original flight was cancelled, but the system probably didn count this seat or it does not recognise this PNR number so when i asked for boarding pass i was told my ticket does not exist. The person at the ticket counter (some Tushar) told i have not done the credit card payment, i am still wondering if there is any credit card which reverses the transaction instead of charging late fine for non-payment. Forget about a sorry, he accused me of credit card cheating several times, i could not make him understand how credit cards work. I asked for a manual boarding pass which Tushar refused to give as it would put the responsiblity on his shoulder. I rushed to the back office to meet the duty manager, i was told to wait till 7 pm. There were several other passengers who were told only if there is any vacancy they would be accomodated in the flight. After 40 minutes of useless discussions and running from back office to reservation desk to their counter i was finally given a manual boarding pass, i thanked GOD and vowed not to travel by air deccan again.

The only wish i have left is to meet the guys who have planned the system migration, the system is not fully functional even after 15 days and not expected to be up before April it seems.God save the old man and his sea from Air Deccan. I have sold all the air deccan shares i held, though i see few more years before it closes down finally.

Guys Read this I happen to come across this blog.I have sent email to Air Deccan and no response.

Hi There,

I am writing this email with big surprise on my face. As mentioned in the subject line PNR DA07007553 I traveled from Bangalore to Mumbai on 21st Feb, I could not travel from Mumbai to Bangalore on 7th March as my was admitted in Bombay Hospital for delivery on 3rd March and discharged on 7th March. When I called the call centre they told me I have boarded the flight on 7th March , which is not correct as I was in Mumbai till 12th March and came back to Bangalore by another airlines.

I am a frequent flier on Air Deccan and really surprised to see this kind of incident.

I need my refund of Rs 975 /- as these are the taxes – please advise what should I do.

Waiting for quick response.

Its much cheaper then the other airlines, but then with other airlines the probability of reaching the destination is much higher. They tried to overload one of their flights from patna to kolkata. Apparantly it was overbooked and they asked children to sit on the laps of their parents. It is a low cost airline but for short distances, I would still prefer a train. I have tried to book a flight from BLR to CCU and both the times the flight was delayed and I had to reschedule on other airlines because I had connecting flights from Kolkata. Spicejet is marginally more expensive and so is kingfisher. I really dont care if the inflight service is bad or pathetic; I mean how many of us would need to eat in a four hour flight? Its easier to eat before boarding the flight or eat after landing. Could not reach their call centre from bangalore, I was put on hold for 20 minutes, and then gave up. They do call up to say that the flight is delayed; so I guess its ok if the destination that you are going to is your final destination and you are not scheduled to catch a connecting flight or train or an appointment.
Dont expect service from this airline and avoid air deccan if you need to reach some place and have a onward booking in another plane/train.

This is what hapened to me on my first and second (hopefully last) trip on Air deccan
I traveled from Chennai to Cochin on Flight DN 133 scheduled to leave at 17.55.When I reached the airport I was informed that the schedule had changed over a month back but they had not been able to update the web site, as I had done the booking online. I had to wait at the airport for over two hours. This was after a dental surgery and hence caused my great inconvenience as my medicines were delayed. I had in fact cancelled my bus tickets to take this flight as I did not want to get infection on the long bus journey.
As if this was not bad enough, the same incident recurred on my return journey also. Knowing that it might be the same flight returning to Chennai (Flight DN 134 scheduled to depart at 19.40), I had made it a point to confirm the flight. The timing was confirmed but the flight took off after 22.00 hrs.
I have given copies of my complaint at the Chennai and Cochin offices. I perfectly understand that the schedules may change. But it is your responsibility to inform the passengers of the same. I hope you would kindly compensate me for the terrible inconveniences caused and the extra expenses incurred.
Can some one give me details of higher authorities to whom I can complain to ensure that justice is done

I had purchased above ticket on Internet/ web site (http://www.airdeccan.net) for 9 persons for travel by Deccan Air Helicopter Service between Katra - Sanjhi Chat on March 05, 2007. The return journey Sanjhi Chat - Katra was booked for March 06, 2007 at a price of Rs. 21,312/-. The payment was made per Credit Card.

I along with my family members and relatives reported for flight at Katra Helipad for Katra - Sanjhi Chat flight on March 05, 2007. The bitter experience came when we were told by Deccan Air staff that the tickets booked on web site are not properly issued and we have to pay a price difference of Rs. 2160/- each way. I asked that this be given in writing. Thereupon, they cancelled the ticket citing “Cancelled due to technical reasons. Full refund allowed”. I had to purchase fresh tickets by making demanded payment. Copies of cancelled tickets are enclosed.

The noting “Cancelled due to technical reasons. Full refund allowed” made on the print out of tickets was/ is far from truth. When we purchased fresh tickets we were issued boarding passes and were allowed to board the Katra - Sanjhi Chat helicopter flight the same day. It is not understood that the tickets are cancelled due to `technical reasons’ whereas the flights are taking off and upon the purchase of new tickets with payment of increased fare, we were able to make journey. `Technical reason’ is an excuse. It is nothing but `Commercial reason’. How is it that the flight is taking off upon purchase of fresh tickets with increased fares. The only reason for cancellation of the ticket and denying boarding was difference of fare, i.e., fare as charged on web ticket and current ticket prices on that day. I was put in very awkward and embarrassing position/ situation in front of my relatives. Cancellation due to technical reasons entails in the flight not taking off at all and not being allowed to board upon purchase of new tickets with increased fares.

We were told that refund will be credited in the credit card account within 7 days. But the refund was not made in the given time period. Many a times, I contacted Major Yogi and others of Deccan at Katra on phone and was assured that I will be getting refund and call from the concerned person. These are still awaited. On contacting the Phone No 08039008888 I was positioned 27 to 39 on different occasions. The same was the situation with phone no. 9818177008, I was made to wait for 30-40 minutes three time and afterwards told that “our system is working slow. Please call again tomorrow”.

Just got this link through a forward this morning:

http://www.ibnlive.com/news/india/03_2007/air-deccan-stagemanages-cheating-of-passengers-36509.html

Very bad!

Here's a mixed reaction from me:

Well, the 2 times I had traveled on Deccan, the experience was ok. The first time was Blore to Hyd, the flight was too small and too noisy, but I was ok with it cause it was damn cheap compared to the prices of other airlines at that time. Second one was from blore to pune. I have to say, the experience was very good. The seats were spacious and there was no noise.

One thing I want to point here is, I liked the Deccan flight from blore to pune faaaaaaaaar too better than the Kingfisher flight from Blore to Delhi. The flight totally sucked in terms of comfort. Yes there was inflight entertainment, but how would one enjoy it with the knees jammed into the front seat and absolutely no room to move. That's not what I paid for! I dont care if a flight doesnt give food, I dont care if a flight doesnt have entertainment, I dont care if a flight doesnt have sexy mini skirt air hostesses. I do care for my comfort first. After the flight, I suffered from knee ache and back ache for 2 days.
In this regard, I think I would go with Deccan - value for money and comfort. Although I cant vouch for the safety. Can't do that with any airlines anyways!

Having said all that, I am not going to justify what I read in the link above. Thats totally atrocious!

i have flown AD many a times since its launch and have been usually lucky with flight timings except one occassion when i had to wait from 6am to 4pm at New Delhi airport for delay due to fog. Though the ground staff was not at all cooperative nor equipped to deal with irate passangers and pacify them.

some facts i would like to throw ligth upon is "cheap airfares" is a farce.. they charge you Rs.1225/- as taxes and other charges on a Rs.1799/- ticket... totalling to Rs.3024/- for a Mumbai Kolkata flight... Kingfisher charges Rs.3500/- approx for same so why bear with AD..???

what AD advertises as "cheap airfares" is actually "Cheap-treatment-for-same-amount-of-money-airfares"

Hi all,
One foggy day in December I had to fly in Jet. This was because on that day Jet was cheaper than Deccan. I was taken inside the plane, the plane took off and could not land in delhi, returned back to mumbai. they did not offer me any hotel or return travel to my house as I was booked on the low fare ticket. They took care of only the business class people.

the next day i was amazed to see the reports about fog and all the papers had targetted only one airline Air deccan. What about my plight in Jet. Nobody covered that. That confirms the fact the our journalist only care for money and can be easily bribed.

3 years before, i used to travel to TVM from mumbai paying 9,500 per trip. Now I fly three times using the same money. it is all because of air deccan. I sincerely wish they grow up fast and kill other airlines like Jet. those were the ones who were looting the public for years.

What were your paying jet so high for?
a) the lousy food they give on board
b) The extra smiles from the airhostesses
and the last thing which irritates me the most
c) the other vacant seats

Jet was trying to achieve profitability by having 60% utilisation. so in effect I was asked to pay for their vacant seats and their inefficiency.

Regards,
Nanda

SIR I HAVE BEEN FLYING AIR DECCAN OR DHAKKAN WHATEVER YOU PREFER CALLING IT.MY EXPERIENCES HAVE NEVER BEEN SO BAD,PROBABLLY MY EXPECTATIONS
WERE LOW CONSIDERING THE MONEY I PAY.MY GENERAL
OBSERVATION AFTER MEETING AND SEEING SO MANY PEOPLE ON BOARD IS THAT (A) MOST PASSENGERS ARE
EITHER FAMILYS ON HOLIDAY OR OTHERWISE WHO WOULD
NOT AFFORD FLYING.
(B) ENTREPRENERS OR
PEOPLE IN SMALL SCALE INDUSTRY WHO DONT MIND SAVING 10-15 THOUSAND RUPPEES PER MONTH ON THEIR
MONTHLY TRAVEL EXPENSES.
IT DOES MATTER.
PEOPLE WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE AIRLINE ARE MOSTLY THE ONES WHO HAVE LONG DESIGNATIONS
FOR WHOM THE CORPORATES PAY WHETHER THEY ARE ON HOLIDAY OR BUSINESS.DEAR SPONSORED FLIERS IF YOU
REALLY CAN AFFORD GOOD THINGS IN LIFE PLEASE GO FOR THEM AS EVERYTHING IS NOT MEANT FOR EVRYONE.
DONT COMPARE A STATE TRANSPORT BUS CATERING TO THE MASSES TO A INTERCITY AIRCONDITIONED VOLVO.YES
JET AND SAHARA ARE GOOD.KINGFISHER IS THE BEST.YES EVEN I AM COMPELLED TO PAY THEM RS 1000 A MONTH PER TRIP TO CARRY MY LUGGAGE ANOTHER 1000 FOR THEIR LOVELY SMILES AND ANOTHER 2000 FOR A SNACKY BRUNCH IN THIN AIR IN 20 MINUTES FLAT.MY STAFF CAN EXPECT THIS LUXURY AND I DO PAY SOMETIMES FOR THIS BUT I WOULD RATHER SAVE ON THIS PERSONALLY.

Hi All,
I too suffered by this Air Deccan. I booked an e ticket from tuticorin to Chennai. I take a print out of the ticket. I took it and went to tuticorin Airport they said we didn't receive your money from your credit card and so the ticket is cancelled. (Ticket was booked a month before and the amount is reduced from my account on the day i booked by AirDeccan Name). Then again we paid a double charge took another ticket and travelled. By giving the cancelled PNR number i am asking for refund. For each and every remainder mail. They are giving one id and saying we will refund in 40 working days. I can't understand what the hell is happenning there. AirDeccan Simply sucks.

Air Deccan has an army of illetrates working for it. Especially the way they cancel flights without reason is sick. They don't even have the courtesy to call or send an SMS when a flight is delayed/cancelled. Even the Air Deccan Call Center folks don't have a tinge of empathy in the way they talk especially when a Customer has been inconvenienced due to delay/cancellation. On 29th Mar, the DN-119 flight from Chennai to Hyd was cancelled because of "OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES". I was just stranded in the Airport and ended up taking another flight by paying 3 times the fare. And (what a co-incidence) the Cancellation happened on 30th Mar as well to the same flight, and the reason was "OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES" again.
In view of the Over-Boarding Controversy that CNN-IBN has accused them off, these sluggards don't seem to be bothered of their reputation. Air Deccan would be the last choice I would opt for to travel. It suckS n sucKS n suCKS n sUCKS n SUCKS..

Air deccan is the world's worst airlines. I have booked a return ticket for delhi to kolkata and back on 12 nov 2006. PNR number is DA07667754. Departure was on 2nd april 2007, arrival was on 5th april 2007. Now , when today on 1st april , i checked with air deccan, it says that I have no flight reservations and that if i have booked now i have to reschedule and pay the recheduling fees and fare difference as well. The flight numbers that I have been assigned also dont exist. I have been screwed by air deccan like anything. I have been trying air deccan customer care for past 5 days and have been kept on hold for more than 3 hours and noone picks the phone. I wonder if anybody is really emloyed over there. The airport staff is so unpolite and indecent that they deserve to be slapped on their faces. Air deccan took my money and now they are telling me that i have no reservations andf that i have to pay for a new flight. I have all the details , printouts and emails from Air deccan with me. I have my credit card records which show that Air deccan took the money. Air deccan, you cant take ppl for a ride like this. First you over book flights and cheat people. CNN-IBN exposed this . and now u take ppl's money and just blantly refuse that they dont have any reservation when i have got all the proofs. I am gonna take you to the courts and make sure you dont get away this time. Its time for a lawsuit and i am filing it right now. Cheaters...

Air Deccan Sucks _|_

--------------------

I booked return tickets from Mumbai to Raipur (01-Mar-2007 and 04-Mar-2007) through website on 18-Jan-2007 5:30 PM. I rescheduled the tickets on 15-Feb-2007 through phone (contact executive: Mr. Santosh Patel), as below:

- For Jaydeep Pillai, rescheduled only return flight from 04-Mar-2007 to 05-Mar-2007 (Raipur-Mumbai)

- For myself(Anshuman Tiwari), rescheduled both ways from 01-Mar-2007 to 31-Mar-2007 (Mumbai-Raipur) from 04-Mar to 08-Apr (Raipur-Mumbai)

On 31-Mar-2007 when I went to airport to board my flight-707 with PNR NO:- DA08997247, at the counter I was told that the system has no details for my
